Homemade Lemonade 3 ways! Lemon, Strawberry and Peach Basil


This is my go to Lemonade recipe that I grew up drinking and have made in my home for years! Using it as a base they are two flavor variations too! Strawberry Lemonade and Peach and basil Lemonade. So simple to make and the perfect refreshing summer drinks

Equipment:


  • Some kind of lemon juicer

  • Sieve or strainer for strawberry and peach lemonade

  • For Strawberry lemonade a blender or food processor

Ingredients:


  • Lemonade

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • I cup simple sugar syrup ( boil equal parts sugar and water till sugar is dissolved and let it cool)

  • 1 tsp black salt

  • 3 cups water

  • Mint leaves

  • Ice

  • Strawberry Lemonade

  • 1 lb strawberries ( makes about 1 cup of juice)

  • 2 cups lemonade

  • 1 cup water

  • Ice

  • Peach and Basil Lemonade

  • 3 cups chopped peaches ( makes about 3/4 cup peach juice)

  • 2 cups lemonade

  • 1 cup water

  • few basil leaves

  • Ice



METHOD:


Lemonade

Make sugar syrup by boiling 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water till sugar is dissolved let it cool (I make extra and store in fridge)

Squeeze lemons for juice

Mix sugar syrup, lemon juice, black salt and water in blender and blend

Add ice, mint, lemon slices into your pitcher and add lemonade


Strawberry Lemonade

Remove green bits and Puree the strawberries in a blender or food processor

Strain with a sieve

Mix strawberry juice, lemonade, water and add with ice into your pitcher

Peach and Basil Lemonade

Cook your chopped peaches in a sauce pan for a few minutes, till they soften and juices release

strain with a sieve

Mix Peach juice, lemonade, water and add with ice and basil leaves to your pitcher

Helpful Tip

The strength of the lemon juice and fruit can vary so adjust sugar syrup to taste
